Cork's Annual Mayday March, called by the Independent Worker's Union will take place Sunday 1st May, starting at 1pm from Connolly Hall, before proceeding up Parnell Place, along Merchant's Quay, down Patrick Street to congregate in Daunt Square.

The theme of this year's march is "Repudiate The Debt"

After the march, Solidarity Books celebrates Mayday with two talks and a free community meal!

Our first speaker at 4pm is Eammon MacGabhain (IWU) whose talk is entitled: "Building a Fighting Union"

Our second speaker at 5pm is Kevin Doyle (WSM) whose talk is entitled: "The Origins of May Day"

Then at 6pm we will invite everyone to join us in the beer garden of Fionn Barra's Pub across the street for a free community meal!
