Ulster BNP in disarray after membership disclosed

Over 10,000 membership details were leaked over the internet including a meagre 39 names, phone numbers and addresses of those members living in the North. In the past, the activities of fascist groups such as the White Nationalist Party and the Ulster Nationalist Alliance have been seriously disrupted by the Fascists Out! Campaign. The highlight being in 2004 during the encounter and confiscation of WNP material in Portrush which left fascists running for their lives (1). Followed, by the closing down of the UNA mail box in South Belfast August 2005.

In a period of mass unemployment in 1920's Germany fascism came to power despite not only the presence of mass Communist and Social Democratic parties but also of significant anti-fascist street fighting. Why did the left fail and what was the attraction of fascism. What about fascist movements today, do they represent a similar threat? Can we even agree a single definition of what fascism is?

Anti-fa is committed to physically and idealogical opposition to fascism. The 'Antifa' initiative has come from members of the Anarchist Federation, Class War Federation, and No Platform. Swedish libertarian socialist Björn Söderberg murdered by fascists

SWEDISH FASCISTS murdered a long time trade unionist last October. Björn Söderberg was an activist of the 'libertarian socialist' Swedish Workers Central Organisation (SAC) union. He was shot three times outside his apartment in the Stockholm suburb of Satra. He was shot in the head.

Remembering the anarchist resistance to fascism

On February 3rd 1931, Italian police arrested Michael Schirru in a hotel room in Rome. He was Italian by birth but had become a US citizen. He had returned to Italy with one purpose, to kill Mussolini. Schirru was just one of many anarchists in the pre-war years who put their lives on the line in the fight against fascism.
