The BBC website is reporting that the general strike in Greece today has cancelled flights out of the airport and that public transport is badly disrupted
"Thousands of people have gathered in front of Greece's parliament as unions stage a general strike in protest at the government's economic policies.
Flights in and out of Athens airport have been cancelled, and public transport has been badly disrupted.
The industrial action was planned weeks ago but follows days of riots sparked by the police shooting of a teenager."
