One hundred years on from the great Dublin lockout, the labour movement in Ireland stands at a crossroads. In this issue, we look at some of the struggles of the past that lead us to this moment in history and consider ways that we can progress the reconstruction of working class organisation. We don&rsquo;t think there is a magic formula for success; rather we hope this magazine can be a forum for debate for activists who are involved in the struggles that are going on in 2013.</p>\r\n<p><strong><a href=\"/sites/default/files/IAR7.pdf\">PDF file of IAR 7 to download</a>&nbsp;(<a href=\"http://www.scribd.com/doc/176585507/Irish-Anarchist-Review-7\">Print Quality version on Scribd</a>)</strong></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n <li>\r\n <strong><a href=\"http://www.wsm.ie/c/1913-lockout-dublin-larkinism-myths\">Locked Out: Dublin 1913</a></strong></li>\r\n <li>\r\n <a href=\"http://www.wsm.ie/c/general-strike-protest-process-solidarity\"><strong>General Strike - Protest or Process</strong></a></li>\r\n <li>\r\n <a href=\"http://www.wsm.ie/c/squatting-politics-dublin-housing-action-committee\"><strong>Urban Politics &amp; The Dublin Housing Action Committee 1968-71</strong></a></li>\r\n <li>\r\n <a href=\"http://www.wsm.ie/c/brazilian-anarchism-interview-world-cup-especifismo\"><strong>Anarchism in Brazil</strong></a></li>\r\n <li>\r\n <a href=\"http://www.wsm.ie/c/capital-left-analysis-debt-graeber-marxism\"><strong>Capital&#39;s Shadow</strong></a></li>\r\n <li>\r\n <a href=\"http://www.wsm.ie/c/rag-interview-revolutionary-anarcha-feminist-group-mar2013\"><strong>On the RAG</strong></a></li>\r\n <li>\r\n <strong><a href=\"http://www.wsm.ie/c/anarchism-intersecionality-gender-race-class\">The Politics of Voices: Notes on Gender, Race &amp; Class</a></strong></li>\r\n <li>\r\n <strong><a href=\"http://www.wsm.ie/c/anarchism-burn-out-self-care-support-activism\">Avoiding Burn out &ndash; Self Care and Support in activism</a></strong></li>\r\n <li>\r\n <strong><a href=\"http://www.wsm.ie/c/review-volume-2-anarchist-faq-iar\">Review of Volume 2 of Anarchist FAQ</a></strong></li>\r\n</ul>\r\n\";s:21:\"node_revisions_format\";s:1:\"2\";s:7:\"_random\";s:19:\"0.02446377279652634\";}i:1;O:8:\"stdClass\":5:{s:3:\"nid\";s:4:\"5924\";s:10:\"node_title\";s:22:\"Workers Solidarity 115\";s:21:\"node_revisions_teaser\";s:1452:\"<p><img src=\"/sites/default/files/images/frontcover.jpg\" style=\"float: right; border: 2px solid; height: 424px; width: 300px; margin: 3px;\" /><br />\r\n May - June 2010 Edition of the Workers Solidarity freesheet.<br />\r\n <br />\r\n <a href=\"http://www.wsm.ie/sites/default/files/WS115-web.pdf\">PDF of Workers Solidarity 115 Web Edition</a> 2.14 Mb</p>\r\n<hr />\r\n<p><strong><a href=\"http://www.wsm.ie/c/croke-park-agreement-fight\">Deal or No Deal - It&#39;s a Scrap Either Way</a><br />\r\n <a href=\"http://www.wsm.ie/c/reject-public-service-pay-deal\">Public Service Pay Deal - The Battle Lines are Drawn</a><br />\r\n <a href=\"http://www.wsm.ie/c/state-repression-continues-mayo\">State Repression Continues in Mayo</a><br />\r\n <a href=\"http://www.wsm.ie/c/dublin-anarchist-bookfair-2010\">A day out of the ordinary- The Dublin Anarchist Bookfair!</a><br />\r\n <a href=\"http://www.wsm.ie/c/thats-capitalism\">That&#39;s Capitalism</a><br />\r\n <a href=\"http://www.wsm.ie/c/international-women%E2%80%99s-day-cork\">Successful International Women&rsquo;s Day Celebration</a><br />\r\n <a href=\"http://www.wsm.ie/c/pride-relevant-ireland-today-during-stonewall\">Lessons of Pride</a><br />\r\n <a href=\"http://www.wsm.ie/c/iranian-protestors-war-god\">Iranian Protesters at War with God</a><br />\r\n <a href=\"http://www.wsm.ie/c/catholic-church-control-schools\">Thinking About Anarchism - Should the Catholic Church remain in control of our schools?</a></strong></p>\r\n<hr />\r\n\";s:21:\"node_revisions_format\";s:1:\"2\";s:7:\"_random\";s:20:\"0.029982769889740992\";}}s:10:\"total_rows\";i:73;s:5:\"pager\";a:5:{s:9:\"use_pager\";s:1:\"0\";s:14:\"items_per_page\";i:2;s:7:\"element\";i:0;s:6:\"offset\";i:1;s:12:\"current_page\";i:0;}}', created = 1566339688, expire = 1566339988, headers = '', serialized = 1 WHERE cid = 'Random_PDF:block_1:results:24a1a9e032d9c6ba13bb723bbab90809' in /var/www/public/includes/cache.inc on line 112.

November 6th strike & protest details

Date:

Also today the ballot figures from IMPACT were released. Members voted overwhelmingly in favour of strikes "if the Government moves to impose a second public service pay cut". The vote was 86% to 14%, with a 69% turnout. This compares to a 65% vote for industrial action – just short of the two-thirds required under IMPACT’s rules – on a 53% turnout in a similar ballot last March.
